Intelligence artificielle

L’intelligence artificielle (IA) est une réalité et a tissé sa toile dans le quotidien: systèmes de navigation, filtres antispam, prévisions météorologiques, pour ne citer que quelques exemples.

Des progrès considérables ont été réalisés dans le domaine de l’apprentissage automatique, sous-ensemble de l’IA. Les machines apprennent grâce à des algorithmes complexes qui leur permettent d’analyser d’énormes ensembles de données et de faire des prévisions au moyen de ces données. Parallèlement au renforcement des aptitudes des machines, des volumes croissants de données sont actuellement collectés et les informations sur le comportement humain sont contrôlées; tout cela constitue des défis pour la protection de la vie privée et des données.

AEPD-EDPS Joint Paper - 10 Misunderstandings about Machine Learning

The EU has identified artificial intelligence (AI) as one of the most relevant technologies of the 21st century and highlighted 1 its importance on the strategy for EU’s digital transformation. Having a wide range of applications, AI can contribute in areas as disparate as helping in the treatment of chronic diseases, fighting climate change or anticipating cybersecurity threats.

Rapport Annuel 2020

L'année 2020 a été unique pour le monde et, par extension, pour le Contrôleur européen de la protection des données (CEPD). Comme beaucoup d'autres organisations, le CEPD a dû adapter ses méthodes de travail en tant qu'employeur, mais aussi son travail car la crise sanitaire du COVID-19 a renforcé l'appel à la protection de la vie privée des individus.

Ce rapport annuel donne un aperçu de toutes les activités du CEPD en 2020.

Le résumé du rapport annuel 2020 du CEPD sera disponible dans toutes les langues officielles de l'UE prochainement.
