EDPS Comments on European Labour Authority
Formal comments of the EDPS on the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing European Labour Authority.
In der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 45/2001 sind die Pflichten der EU-Organe bei der Verarbeitung personenbezogener Daten festgelegt, etwa die Verpflichtung, wonach jede von ihnen einen Datenschutzbeauftragten bestellen muss. Zudem wurde mit dieser Verordnung der Europäische Datenschutzbeauftragte als unabhängige Datenschutzbehörde eingerichtet, deren Aufgabe es ist, die Wahrung des Rechts auf Privatsphäre durch die europäischen Organe und Einrichtungen sicherzustellen und den EU-Gesetzgeber zu Themen im Bereich des Datenschutzes zu beraten. Die Verordnung wird derzeit überarbeitet, um sie in Einklang mit der Datenschutz-Grundverordnung zu bringen. Die Europäische Kommission veröffentlichte am 10. Januar 2017 einen Vorschlag.

In preparation for the 'new Regulation 45', many DPOs ask about the 'phase-out' of prior checks under Article 27 of the 'old' Regulation 45. This letter, sent in reply to a request from the DPOs of the Executive Agencies, sets out the current EDPS approach on this topic.
Prior-checking Opinion regarding the “Erasmus+ Online Linguistic Support scheme” at EACEA (Case 2014-1154)
On 30 November 2017, the EDPS Supervision & Enforcement Unit has provided a training on the new Regulation to managers/heads of Units/sectors at the EUSA, in Brussels.
