Giovanni Buttarelli presents the EDPS Strategy 2015-2019 at a launch event on 2 March 2015. He and other speakers highlight that this is an historic moment for data protection. They emphasise the importance of the EDPS' role as an independent institution working both with the EU legislature and with data protection authorities (DPAs) to address new and evolving challenges to data protection and privacy.
