PATRICIA II - Personal dATa bReach awareness in Cybersecurity Incident Handling

The EDPS organises the second edition of PATRICIA - Personal dATa bReach awareness in Cybersecurity Incident Handling, a table-top exercise focusing on personal data breach management. The cyber exercise takes place on 5 June 2025 from 08:45 to 16:00 at the EDPS premises and will bring together key stakeholders from selected EUIs to enhance incident response and collaboration.

High-Level Debate on Competition, Innovation and Data Protection

On 3 June 2025, the EDPS, the BfDI, and the BayLfD are organising a high-level debate to reflect on recent developments relating to the EU's Digital Rulebook. The event will focus on the need for a consistent and coherent implementation of the GDPR and the EU Digital Rulebook and cooperation between the different digital regulators to protect citizens, foster innovation, and support the Union's competitiveness. The event is kindly hosted by the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the European Union.

Following the presentation of the European Data Protection Supervisor's Annual Report 2024 at the European Parliament, we invite you to a press conference during which Wojciech Wiewiórowski will present an overview of the EDPS’ activities of the year 2024 focused on the future of data protection and cementing his actions set out in the EDPS Strategy 2020-2024 to shape a safer digital future during his final year of mandate.

CPDP - Data Protection Day: A new mandate for data protection

The Council of Europe (CoE), CPDP Conferences and the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) invite you to celebrate the Data Protection Day with a special edition of CPDP, taking place on 28th January 2025 in the European Commission’s “Charlemagne’’ building, Brussels, Belgium and online. The event will focus on the evolving mandate of data protection, particularly its essential role as safeguard of our democratic society against excessive intrusions in the citizens’ privacy by public or private actors.
