Our team of around 100 staff members, works in Brussels and Strasbourg and brings together a community of highly qualified legal and technical experts, as well as specialists in other fields from all over the European Union.

A career at the EDPS

A career at the EDPS

There are two types of staff working at the EDPS – permanent and temporary.

Permanent posts are open to EU Officials, in other words, those who pass a competition organised by the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO).

Temporary posts include Contract Agents, Temporary Agents, National Experts, and occasionally Interim Staff employed through recruitment agencies.

Traineeships at the EDPS

Traineeships at the EDPS

Twice a year, we host about 10 trainees, who join various teams at the EDPS. The Blue Book Traineeship programme offers a five-month work experience starting on 1st of October and 1st of March.
