As a society, we are increasingly wary of the way our personal information is being used. Certain recent landmark events have jolted many of us to reconsider our data habits. Yet the majority of us are still in the dark about the issues surrounding our personal data - are we really aware of how much personal data we upload every day, (un)intentionally creating profiles or “data doubles”? How many of these data doubles do we create and who controls them? What happens to our data when we die? These are the questions that we will explore on the day. With expert speakers including the Supervisor, Wojciech Wiewiórowski, participating in the conference, we will all be better equipped to understand these issues and develop a transparent and fully-functioning relationship with our data. We look forward to welcoming you.
