Procedure for dealing with cases of incompetence - Council

Opinion of 4 July 2010 on the notification of a prior check concerning the file "Procedure for dealing with cases of incompetence at the General Secretariat of the Council" (File 2010-237)

The Council is going to adopt a decision on the procedure for identifying, dealing with and remedying cases of professional incompetence. This decision is aimed at helping officials under appraisal to reattain a satisfactory level of work. The purpose of the processing relates to the implementation of the procedures provided for in Article 51(1) of the Staff Regulations to identify, deal with and remedy cases of incompetence.

The EDPS has issued recommendations on the transfer of data and the provision of information to data subjects.
