On 20 June 2024, we invite you to the European Data Protection Summit: “Rethinking Data in a Democratic Society”. This unique event brings together privacy experts, technology specialists, policy-makers, and other influential voices to discuss how data protection can safeguard our democratic society.

Following the presentation of the European Data Protection Supervisor's 2023 Annual Report at the European Parliament, we invite you to a press conference to present an overview of the EDPS’ activities in 2023. This event will also present the progress made to achieve the goals set out in the EDPS Strategy 2020-2024 to shape a safer digital future.

To celebrate Data Protection Day (28 January), the Council of Europe (CoE), CPDP and the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS), are co-organising a one-day event full of keynote speeches and panel discussions on how to safeguard individuals’ rights to privacy and data protection.

On the 8th of November 2023, the European Data Protection Supervisor organises a seminar on “the essence of the fundamental rights to privacy and data protection” at the European Parliament in Brussels. This seminar aims to provide an opportunity for meaningful exchange amongst stakeholders and to present a dedicated study.

The EDPS and INTERPOL co-host the 2023 edition of the International Organisations Workshop on data Protection. The event takes place on 24 and 25 October in Lyon at the INTERPOL General Secretariat.
