Wojciech Wiewiórowski

European Data Protection Supervisor

Wojciech Wiewiórowski is born in Poland, holds a degree from the Faculty of Law and Administration and a Doctorate in Constitutional Law from the University of Gdańsk, where he is from. Prior to being appointed as the EDPS, he served as Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data at the Polish Data Protection Authority, and then became the Assistant EDPS to the late Giovanni Buttarelli.
