Convention 108 - Cabo Verde and Mexico
On 1 October, Convention 108 and its additional Protocol regarding supervisory authorities and transborder data flows entered into force in respect of Cabo verde and Mexico, bringing the total number of Parties to the Convention to 53 countries. Together with the countries participating as observers in the Committee of Convention 108, it’s 70 countries that work together on the rights to privacy and data protection. GDPR for EU institutions adopted by the EP
EDPS welcomes the adoption of the new Regulation governing data protection in the EU institutions and bodies by the European Parliament. The new, strengthened rules ensure that the high standard of data protection within the EU institutions and bodies is in line with the standard provided for in the GDPR.
